The Waterberry Mentor Program
The problems young professionals face in starting a career in development stem in large part from
a lack of easily accessible information. The Waterberry website and virtual community will alleviate
this problem considerably, but there is no substitute for guidance on an individual basis.
The Waterberry Mentor Program will match qualified young professionals with Mentors – people who
have been working in development for a number of years who have volunteered to provide advice
and networking assistance to assist younger professionals in the early stages of their career.
Mentors
Mentors can choose whether they are contacted directly by applicants, or conduct all contact
through Waterberry, and Waterberry will screen the applicants to ensure only serious candidates
are entered into the system. Mentors can remove themselves from the system at any time.
